    Ok.....I know silly question.....but how do you pronounce Latakia.

    Like if you went to go buy a car from Asia and the dealership had "a lotta Kia but not as many Toyota"

    I pronounce it "Kommunwelth"

    That's funny, I always thought it was pronounced "odd-de-see".

    Still prefer the pronounciation given the last time we talked about latakia -"dog-vomit!" - or perhaps that was actually its botanical name.

    This is one thing I really love about PSF. You take the time to answer every question so politely, no matter how basic. This particular question couldn't be more timely as I was telling my girlfriend last night I wasn't sure how Latakia is pronounced.

    Not often I get a "semi" hearing Latakia pronounced.............. :lol: :lol: ;)
