    I like Savinelli's and Churchwardens.

I'd save your money for a Stanwell Hans Christian Anderson. In the meantime, buy a couple cobs.

Sav's filter is just a block of balsa - they just absorb a bit of moisture, and the pipes smoke fine with or without them.

Churchwardens are cool, but I think of them as more of a novelty than a working pipe. $60 on a briar is a hit or miss proposition, IMHO. I say save for another couple of months and go $90 or so. A huge range of very serviceable briars will then be open to you: Savs, Petes, Stans, and a host of others. I learned the hard way about being too eager about buying a new pipe. I went too cheap too often, and wound up with a stable of crappy pipes. Delay the gratification and go $90 or so. I think you'll be much happier with your pipe.

Nice looking pipe for the price. I would buy it.

I genuinely feel you can't go wrong with Peterson systems and Falcon straight dentals, I'd recommend them to anyone looking to expand their collection. I just bought another peterson system (313 for anyone interested) and am absolutely over the moon with it :)
