Restoring translucent stems

Not open for further replies.
I got this lot of 5 pipes at the flea market for $15.
The bits on the cobs were badly chewed up and I debated with myself, for a while, about how to restore them.

I decided to just cut off the worst parts of the bits. Then I added some amber colored superglue to build up the cut ends of the stems, used needle files to reshape the bits, and sanded/polished. They're not perfect but turned out OK and usable.
