I've smoke a decent amount of old tobacco in my day and some have been sublime (Sobranie 759, Philip Morris Revelation, Blue Boar) while others have been vile (Granger tub from the 50s). A seller tonight on e-bay had a set of fascinating mostly 70s-era tins on offer that were full of tobacco. And every one of them...he OPENED to show the contents. I think I might have been the only person foolish (or optimistic) enough to throw down cash for one. But this one looked like it was in excellent shape and the price was only a little higher than a fresh tin in some states (and significantly less than a tin in Canada).

We'll see if this flake can be brought back to life. Hopefully the seller opened them only for a quick photo, and very recently, and sealed it right back up.

I would have considered picking one of those tins up just to take a shot. Let us know how it works out.
