Sg tin dating.

    Just trying to keep the cellar organised, so
    when was the last shipment of SG? Got some
    BBF tins in a trade that need a date. Cheers.
    Ball park figure would do. No need to be precise.

    You can fondle them tins all day, dp, but it will just make you want to smoke it even more! Heal up!

    I thought I saw Payless just this past week? Is that too soon for your dating?

    SG does not really date the tins. You can tell a range from the tin art sometimes, but thats about it. The shipments came in about month and half to 2 months ago. I always date with the current date that I receive a tin if there is no date stamp.

    ...or....write '1982' on them, and sell them for a small fortune!

    (I'd buy it...never had 30 year old pipe tobacco). :)

    2010 to present: red/salmon colored "Sam Gawith" banner across the top of the label.

    2006 to present: upc code bars

    Beyond that, I have no clue....no decoder ring.... ;)

    It's possible to date recent SG tins to those made after 2009 when new SG logo was used on tins
