Ok, so this is just a random rant.

I am eternally greatful for all the information I have learned here as a memeber of PSF from pipes, tobaccos, accessories, technique and general Tom Foolery

I am however begining to think that certain tobaccos such as Balkan Sobranie and Stonehaven are the Snuffaluffagus of the tobacco universe.

Every once in a while someone posts about a retailer that has them in stock and then within a relatively short period of time go there to seek Snuffy. Well....... I get there and Snuffy is gone.

    Maybe someday.........

    Thanks Snake!

I remember about 10 months ago ordering some BS from EA Carey who apparently had it in stock. I keep gettinge emails from them telling me how they have to push back delivery date because they didnt get resupplied yet.

Actually, THAT sounds like BS to me!

I have some of the newer BS if that's what you're referring to, we may be able to work out a small trade of samples. PM me.

Same thing happened to me with EA Carey's. Same tobacco order in fact; kept promising next week, next week. That was over a year ago. Just make sure you didn't get dinged for their $25 membership on you order. You see you can charge $25 for a membership if you list a tobacco as in stock and then come up with some excuse of sudden unavailability, thereby placing you on back order until the second coming, as it were. Get the scam? They can forget any business from me hence forth.

I was lucky enough to snag a couple of tins of the Balkan Sobranie a while back and have enjoyed it. On the other hand, Penzance has been elusive to the point of stupidity. While I'd like to try Penzance, I've decided to forget about it and if I happen to run across some, fine, otherwise I won't get my dander up about it.

Some folks swear by Penzance while others have said it's not all it's hyped up to be, which is typical for most blends if you look at reviews at all.

Penzance is so rare because it has ground Jackalope horn as the secret ingredient...
