    Ahoy all,

I have several tins of this baccy and would like to age some of it. It's not in a hermetic tin but it's in plastic wrap within the tin. For those of you that know, how should I age this? Should I open all the plastic within the tins and transfer to ball jars or should I leave them in the original containers?

    Thanks all.

BTW, I just had a bowl of this and it's an excellent VA.

Yup, transfer it to mason/ball jars!

It's a very fine blend and I wish they offered it in bulk.

+1. The bags are good for awhile but I just make a habit of transfering my new tins to mason jars as they come in. Definitely one of my Top Ten favorite blends.

+...whatever number we're at. That stuff is too good to risk not jarring up.

I took 6 tins and removed the "packets" from them and then I stuffed the Silverflake (inside the pkts) into a 2L (quite large) canning jar. I can stuff 2 more packets easily. Will be able to see how and if the plastic wrap changes anything. May just open the jar up and just empty the pkts into the jar and have a huge jar of Silverflake :D :groucho:

    Thanks all!

300g now transferred to mason/ball jar. Looking forward to aging this a bit. Hopefully I can be patient!
