I've been eyeballing the UPS tracking for close to a week and it finally showed up. :) I spent days scouring the internet looking for a squashed tomato pipe that isn't hideously expensive. I found one new at P&C. It's an Aldo Velani Capri. I haven't smoked it yet, but I'm definitely happy with it as far as it being eye candy. It's bigger than it looks, 5.75" and a 3/4" bowl. It feels a touch heavy, which I imagine would be the difference between this one and a much more expensive pipe.

I'm trying to decide what to smoke in this one. Definitely something that is least likely to goop up the rim.

Nice Tomato! For me, that's a hard shape to find pretty examples of (I've got my eye on a Brebbia Sabbiata) but that one's a looker! Enjoy!

    Chris,

That is a very nice pipe! I particularly like the squashed tomato shapes. I have a Stanwell "1960" squashed tomato and I love it. Enjoy!

I know the one you are talking about, Sorringowl ;) Those Brebbia Sabbiatas are beautiful. Better nab that one before some one else does, hehe. :puffy:

I've focused my collection nearly entirely on Danish freehands and British/Irish style pipes, but the Italian pipes are growing on me. If I expand my collection at this point, though, I think my wife may kill me in my sleep ;)

VERY NICE pipe. I have also been eye balling this shape. I have not yet dropped the coin on anything yet. Your new pipe is a head turner for sure.

That's a nice looking pipe. I've never thought about that shape, actually I don't know if I've seen or paid attention to it. Now I am... on the PAD list it goes...
