I bought an old medico bulldog in really bad condition on ebay for $3.00. I cleaned up the bowl but the stem is chewed all to hell. I really like the pipe and want to send it out for a new stem. The pipe isn't worth much but I like it enough to get it fixed. I have gotten rid of pipes worth way more but this one wants me to keep it.
Who do I send it to?

Floyd Norwood. Google Norwood's Pipe Repair.

I think I will go with Norwood. 8 bucks cheaper for a vulcanite stem. This is not a high end beauty.

Mike, Floyd did a great job on my antique meer, and the turnaround was one day. Let us know how it turns out.

    Regards,
    Michael

Definitely Floyd. He's worked on a number of my pipes in the past...great prices, superior craftsmanship, and a very fast turn-around.

Floyd Norwood is good, quick, and not expensive.

I have never had Mr. Norwood fix any of my stuff, but from the rec's above I think he's a safe bet. A PSF'er had me reduce a replacement stem done by Floyd (trim and sand) but that was just a matter of personal preference for "mouth-feel."

I have gone to Tim West and Dave Walker.
