Who will be first on this forum to fork over 65 beans an ounce? I'm intrigued, but I don't think it will be me. Anyone here smoke his stuff when he was the blender at Rich's in Portland?

I want to read a review. But I can't afford to write one.

$65 an ounce? That stuff better be good... too bad it's too steep for my blood, so I won't be trying it.

I wonder how much a cellared ounce of the original Pre-Murray's 965 would fetch on the market today?

No way, not me...that 65 could go towards a pound and some tins of something else..even though it's very tempting. Funds just aren't there to do something like that for 1 oz.

Sorry, I won't be spending that kind of money, either. Besides, I'd have to spend more money renting a drawer in the local tobacconist's walk-in humidor just to keep it from drying out until I was ready to smoke it.

I'd like to try some of his matches. But I think I'm going to test them blind against the originals. We're all guilty at time of either (or both) positive or negative expectation bias, and sometimes I find myself wondering if certain 40 year old latakia blends are really better than some other, more current, blend. Or if a match tobacco is really the horrible failure we think it is.

It worked!!! Got some buzz and mouse clicks but the price (a gorilla marketing technique) is a bit optimist considering hermit has produced ltd edition tins with very old tobacco for what, about $13 dollars a 20z tin.

Has anyone tried his other blends? The Canadian Maple and Grandfathers blend sound interesting. Price is right also.

I think the "For Meerschaums Only" blend looks interesting, although I wouldn't be smoking it in a meer. I ask the price of original 965 only because I could imagine it going $65/oz and I wouldn't even pay that much for it. I'm ok with never getting to try blends from yesteryear, when there are so many great blends to smoke today.

I never buy anything from people who think that plurals require apostrophes. :)

You mean "plural's" require apostrophe's," don't you? Its very annoying when their they're and they shouldn't be they're and its also annoying when there not their and they should be they're. It gives me the its or the it's.
