Before I begin, sorry in advance I can't put any pics of it up (I'm stuck using my iPhone for the Internet).
Anyway my friend just got back from a hunting trip in Africa, he brought me back an interesting little pipe.
It's a briar (at least I think, it's some kind of wood) straight stem, but what's interesting is the stem is wooden. He said he just bought it from some small little shop there, it's by far not top quality but it sure does have character.
It smokes surprisingly well, but it's one you have to hold the whole time, I left it in my mouth while I was walking around and it messed with the wooden stem a little (some discoloration and bite marks, surprising because I wasn't holding it very tightly in my teeth).
Just thought I would share my little story, and hopefully I'll have a computer soon so I can post some pics up for you guys.

Now that's a great idea that I hadn't even thought of Brad. I'll be sure to do that!

Very interesting, and how many can say they have a pipe carved in Africa? Thanks for sharing. :th1:
