I have sunk to a new low. I keep a pint of Viaka vodka (a (I believe) local cheap vodka) on hand for pipe cleaning purposes. On Sundays the liquor stores are closed around here. Damn Kansas blue laws. So, I drank it. It tasted like a$$. It got the job done. I drank my pipe sweetener. Yep. I did it.

I just felt the need to confess.

Pft, thats nothing. Once or twice when in a similar blue law situation when in the midst of alcohol addiction I cut Angostura bitters 50/50 with coconut flavored syrup and gagged that stuff down. That stuff is about 45%ABV or something, so the shots were super weak and tasted SO bad I threw up once or twice trying that. But hey, you gotta beat the shakes somehow haha

Well, as long as you don't need a braille computer monitor, sounds like everything worked out just fine.

One of my buddies used to be worse off than you, man. He once drank a bottle of grenedine because there was nothing else around with alcohol :bangin: Anywho, one night, after a party, we grabbed all the beer bottles that had just a little bit left at the bottom, and poured them all into a 40oz bottle (we're classy drinkers). We put the "beer" in the fridge and he came out and went right for it. He said "this beer tastes old", but proceeded to drink ALL OF IT. We then told him what we had done and to this day, we crack up about it. :drunk:

Man, after he went to the trouble I'd have a VERY difficult time breaking the news that grenadine contains no alcohol!

:laff: I know the feeling all too well. But when you hit the airport bar, after not drinking for so long, 3 beers will feel like 12.
