So I have been a little overactive on Ebay recently and it has landed me a parker baccyflap and a Ser Jacopo gem line. All for the low price of $90 total. I think I did alright. Sorry for the blurry pic, the only camera I have any more is my iPhone.

I'd say ya did quite well, those Ser Jacopo's can get quite high on the bid board. Congrats!!

In what temple do you pray to the Ebay gods? Do they expect live sacrifices?

I don't know if people are saving money for Chicago or what it is, but there are some deals to be had lately. That's a good looking pipe.

I have to smile when I see 'Baccyflaps' coming to auction with astronomical prices, as a young apprentice - I and my pals would keep our RYO tobacco and papers in them, many were broken when falling from the pockets of our overalls, but they only cost around five shillings to replace at the corner shop. With this in mind - I can't see myself ever paying today's prices for another! :)

Seems just about anything can at some point become "collectable"..

In another 75 or 80, Old Ted may even be "vintage".

Well I can say that I got super lucky. The Ser Jacopo smokes like a dream. It needed a little clean up, but nothing major. As for the baccyflap, I think it has lived in my pocket since it arrived. I know I'm super happy with both!

I need to keep a look out for those things when I'm at flea markets... until now, I could have walked past 100 of them and never knew what they were or even given them a 2nd thought..... They seem kind of cool though.
