I just opened a new can of SWR . The first bowl is just awesome ! I love how you pack a bowl from a just open can and it dosent make a dent . Kinda makes ya feel like youre tobacco rich . This stuff is so cool smoking , smooth , tastey and easy smokin ... I filled the Kaywoodie 5012b [ 30's bulldog ] that Im very fond of am I sitting here thinking how much I really dig it and how boring of a post it would be to post what I'm thinking ... lol

Sir Walter Raleigh! It's the stuff they sweep up off the floor when they are done making other tobacco products. Sort of the hot dog of the tobacco world I reckon. :roflmao:

    Re: Sir Walter Raleigh?

We're all interested in fellow Pipe Smokers Forum members, smoking experiences. Never boring.

    Be well.

If SWR tobacco is hotdog meat then my PA and Half and Half must be deviled ham and vienna weiners. :0) I still like them!!!!

Shows what a computer geek I am. I see SWR and my first thought is Star Wars Rebellion, my favorite video game ever! Hey, I wonder if there was much pipe smoking in the Starwars movies. I think I saw a hooka once but a pipe...

Jabba the Hutt smoked a hookah in #6, in all his (its?) resplendent corpulence.

Don't be so ready to dismiss one of the iconic OTCs. With its almost 100 years' storied past (from Brown and Williamson through Lane and now Conwood), SWReg has held its own as one of the best selling tobaccos in the US. When I visited the B&W works in Louisville in 1976, the leaf used in SWR was most carefully chosen from KY and NC burley leaf. B&W made a point to empasize the quality of their product. I agree w/ Ruffinogold's assessment of SWR. In fact, the cut and quality of the tobacco today far surpasses that used by B&W.
