A couple of poor photos, the pipe tobacco selection in the 1895 Harrods Catalog.
Lol ... I'd bet Doug was like 12 then .
Did you just pick that up at the antiques market?
it seems Capstan Navy Flake already exists. Made by Wills (?). Lot of choices.
No, I've had it, was looking for something else and thought I'd take a quick shot, I've been meaning to for a while.
I still know people up there you can pay you a midnight visit. Just saying. And Mr. Mayor, show some respects for your constituents.
WD & HO Wills. Started in Bristol in 1786 Quite a history..
Nah , Berg found it in Dougs School year book from that year . Rumor has it doug looked like the kid in the Grit magazine ad that they ran in comics for many years
I am still waiting for my submarine off the back cover..
Ruff your shirt looks pretty much the same as the one the kid is wearing! just sayin.
Bill at KW asked me to think who would have to be shorted if for some reason there was a shortfall in production.
They can short mine if needed, since I never ordered..
Are they the only two pages of tobacco, what else is in there?
Lol .. there's no doubt I'm a redneck , Brit .. the kids shirt is pretty cool
I figure if I can be an Ummpa Lummpa , doug could be the Grit kid ! Just funning , doug .. I'll get off yer grass now
That seems like a hell of a selection for 1895.
OK, but I am keeping a list. Also I have friends in Cracker Barrel management. I can get you banned from their porch.
.... oh , please don't do that
Btw , fishing sucked for me today .. the weather was weird and I'm not a good fresh water fisherman . Flint river sounds good if youre up to it at some point
If its a lake, just use the bait with the fuse attached, you will do much better
Many pages of cigs and cigars, again, pipe tobacco was the least of the weeds. Loads of pipes and accessories. When you're done with the book on Mountain View I'll bring this one up.
