At one fifth the price of Trinidad Fundadores I stand by my claims of "...unassuming...bargain." It was not landmark but it certainly was not unpleasant.

Not saying they were bad. Never had it. Just surprised to find a positive review of it based on how harsh he was of the cigar. He has quite a cigar history and spot on with the cigars he has sent/told me about.

    Si.

Hey! I may have gotten one freakishly slightly-above-average one to make up for all the so-so Cohibas I've incinerated.

And, you know, I smoked it taking trash to the landfill. :D

Cohibas are so freaking pissing me off. I love one then have 2 that are blah. The one Espy I had was amazing and keeps kicking the back of my head to get more. The Genios maduro was amazing. Sig II, meh. Sig VI amazing. CoRo maddening. I gave up on the brand unless someone really wants to send me some at lower prices. No reason to over pay for them when a Monte Edmundo or BRC or RyJ SC are just as good for a lot less.

Well, it may not be your thing, but I agree that you definitely need to try again. Illusione is a great name for that company because they clearly put some kind of voodoo magic in their cigars. Like, I had a Singulare from (I think) 2010 awhile back, and after about an inch, all these flavors start sprouting out of the damn thing. Vanilla, cinnamon, hickory, leather, all melding and winding together. It was nuts. I had always called BS on people who claimed to get flavors like that out of a cigar (and still do most of the time), but it happened that time, and it wasn't a flavored cigar. Pure voodoo magic.

The Epernay is arguably the best Illusione that can be had year-round, and seeing as how Illusione is one of the best companies that can legally be bought in this fair land of ours, I think it's worth another shot. :)

Nice, just scored a fiver of those, plus a fiver of the La Sirena Sea Sprite, all for less than $50. It's a good day for me as a Pepin fan, so here's what I'm smoking:

Oh yeah. I actually like these at least as much as I like the Le Bijou. Can never go wrong with a MF #1.

Ummm...one of my faves. I got a box that hasn't been opened in a while.

Think I know what I'm doing tomorrow.

If someone gave me a cigar...

And if I smoked that cigar last night....

It might have been one of the best dang things I've ever smoked.
